[IPython-user] Problem doing svn co behind proxy

Hi,

This is a from user on the mpi4py users list that is trying to do an
svn co of ipython1.  The are behind a proxy and can't do the checkout.
 Has anyone dealt with this type of problem before?
The user doesn't have any problem checking out numpy/scipy.

Thanks very much. This is probably OT. :-) I have difficulty is doing a
svn checkout. I'm behind a proxy.

svn co http://ipython.scipy.org/svn/ipython/ipython/branches/saw ipython1

returns the error

svn: REPORT request failed on '/svn/ipython/!svn/vcc/default'
svn: REPORT of '/svn/ipython/!svn/vcc/default': Could not read status
line: Connection timed out (http://ipython.scipy.org)

Using "https" instead of "http" didn't work for me as it asks for a
username and password. I've no difficulty in checking out numpy or scipy
from svn.scipy.org using this workaround, though.
