[IPython-user] Toward a seemless install for reluctant converts

I just tried this from my linux box (I thought it would still work).
I got this warning:
Warning: Can't read registry to find the necessary compiler setting
Make sure that Python modules _winreg, win32api or win32con are installed.

Do I really have a problem or should I be building the exe from a
windows machine?  (I can, I just don't have a windows machine with
subversion on it right now - I think I could with reasonable effort).
